Photos from our Sneak Preview TV Screening Party and Quiz

Why, hello! We're finally—finally!—recovering from Tuesday's #BQTonTV party at the Highline Ballroom (the rest of the week was filled with private party business, including a particularly awesome game at a kids' summer camp). Lest we forget: The Big Quiz Thing TV show premieres tomorrow night on NYC Life, 9pm, with more new episodes every Sunday throughout the summer. Details here, but of course.

It was an excellent event Tuesday—super turnout, much fun with the NYC-themed quiz, uh-may-zing prizes (thanks again to our huge list of prize partners), and some primo Smart-Ass Points. (The evening's best: one of the current Republican candidates for mayor is Whitey McHomophobe; one of the MTA's slogans is "Stopping Non-Stop"; and a particularly famous quote from NYC history: "Hello, I'm trying to raise money for my high-school basketball team. I have M&M's, Skittles, and Welch's Fruit Snacks.")

In a couple days, I'm going to do a quick roundup of the nice Web coverage we got for the event. But for now, ace photog Ryan Muir got some excellent shots of the evening, which I'll be flogging mercilessly for the next couple years. Highlights…

Cocktail Hour: EdP and I wandered the audience, asking NYC-themed questions and giving prizes to anyone interested. This worked out way better than I was afraid it might: We had more than enough early birds to keep it going, and EdP and I got to show off the banter we honed shooting the TV show.
