The Huntington Theater's The Invisible Man

 

More fine work of the stage. The Huntington is easily among the Boston area's most prominent theatrical arts institutions—just last night, Mama and Papa Quizmaster gave me a glowing review of its current production of Pinter's Betrayal. And it's having a honey of a season: On top of Pinter, there's the beloved Our Town, the always-potent A Raisin in the Sun, and—hm—an "irreverently funny" stage adaptation of the Fritz Lang noir classic M (hyped with a warning: "not for the squeamish!"). But they're kicking off '13 with a hella-powerful stage adaptation of Ralph Ellison's classic Invisible Man (African-American alienation, not sci-fi and bandages). The Urban Art Bar

See, this is why you live in the big city: because there aren't places like the Urban Art Bar in Ames, Iowa.
