Sponsor spotlight: The Little Lebowski Shop

I was wandering Greenwich Village a few weeks ago, specifically walking up the leafy Thompson Street in search of a slice (or a toe—there are ways to get one), when—as if in an occasional, between-bowling acid flashback, or a Kenny Rogers–fueled fever dream—I happened upon this:

The legends are true: The Little Lebowski Shop, which bills itself as "New York's First Big Lebowski Shop." Oh, how NYC abides!

Say what you want about the idea behind this store, but at least it's an ethos: nothing but merchandise relating to the 1998 Coen brothers bong-hit classic (a great movie that, like millions of others, I didn't appreciate when it first came out). It's a small store—a Little Lebowski Urban Achiever, if you will—but it packs a lot in: T-shirts, mugs, action figures, bowling paraphernalia, and far beyond. (Be careful as you walk around; there might be a beverage there.) And there's a rug on the floor that really ties the whole room together. It's a good store, and thorough.
Nobody fucks with The Big Lebowski—it's far and away the best bowling movie ever made—so after we booked the next New York edition of the Big Quiz Thing, at the lovely Bowlmor Lanes Times Square, a quiz regular suggested this store as an ideal sponsor. I reached out to the faux Dude himself, the Little Lebwoski's sunglasses-and-bathrobe-clad Roy, and he's generously agreed to kick in some goodies for Monday's prize haul. (And if you're asking "Where's the money?," it'll still be there; this is in addition to the usual $300 cash jackpot.)
